This is the most fun I have had with a 3 channel helicopter, and I own the S107, s032, s012, and a few other models made by Syma. This one is definitely the most fun. It is surprisingly controllable, even without a gyro like the s107 and others. I have no problem flying this large chinook around my very small room without crashing at all. The dual rotor head setup makes it stable and VERY VERY fun to fly. There is a slight learning curve to get used to the tail swing, but it doesnt take long.

My battle buddy has a few smaller RC helicopters which she flies every once and while. I had one of those before but they just go up and down, maybe a few circles but that's it. 2 blades are better than one, right? It came in and I was surprised by how big it was because I thought it was going to be small. I was also concerned with the fact that the rotors are loose (no worries, this is suppose to be like that, it flies fine with the rotors like that.) The instruction booklet is poorly translated but its not that complicated. I finally took out for the first time and it was AMAZING! I didn't have to set the trim or anything! It flew like a dream and everyone was impressed with it! Even my battle buddy who says its ten times better than hers! It only takes a minute to get use to. I was even able to get it to land and fly to my hand.

I purchased this Syma AH-64 Apache Helicopter for my 13 year old grandson. It is extremely stable and pretty much flew perfect right out of the box. It has great control and doesn't spin any whatsoever.

This is the correct part if you have a PicooZ/Air Hog Havoc 2-ch helicopter.
Be sure that the rotor fits snugly, because a loose fit will not provide adequate lift to get your helicopter up and running even though the rotors seem to spin . You also have to adjust trim and make sure that the tail rotor is clean of wrapped hair or fuzz, and perfectly perpendicular to the main rotor- these are essential for proper functioning of the helicopter, and typically have to be checked/adjusted after each crash.

This replacement is definitely sturdier than the original rotor, as well as the single spare that came with the original helicopter.

The original blades are a real soft plastic so since they are no longer needed, taking an exact knife and heating the tip you can run it up the plastic shaft of the blade , being careful NOT to touch the helicopter and it splits exposing the metal shaft below. There is a "witness hole" in the shaft about 3/4 of the way up the shaft which lets you know where to stop. Heating of the tip is to prevent having to apply pressure to cut the plastic which is a safety hazard and could lead to personal injury. When using an exact knife make sure it is not one with a plastic blade retainer for obvious reasons. Any other method risks damaging the internal gears resulting in the lack of RPM to allow the havoc to fly afterward. The next task is carefully inserting the shaft into the rotor assembly which is best done inverted since pushing down gives you too much leverage and will easily bend the shaft. This set was a return and evidently someone tried to remove the rotor and damaged the second copter. I experimented with the useless wonder and found there was no way to salvage the serviceable blade without damaging it so I purchased this set.
